Reef Check to Host Free Screening of Plastic Paradise on October 27

Every single piece of plastic that has ever been created since the 19th century is still somewhere on our planet. So if it never goes away, where does it go?

Please join Reef Check Foundation and Santa Monica High School’s award winning Team Marine for a free screening of Plastic Paradise, which solves this global mystery. In this documentary film by Angela Sun, you will meet scientists, researchers, influencers, and volunteers who shed light on the insidious effects of our rabid plastic consumption. A panel discussion with Reef Check, Team Marine, Angela Sun, Charles Moore, Surfrider Foundation and others will follow the screening. Screening will take place October 27, 2014 at Barnam Hall, Santa Monica High School. Screening is free (suggested donation is $5.00).
