Reef Check Adds Two to Board of Directors

Reef Check Foundation is pleased to announce that our Board of Directors has grown with the addition of Ms. Ingrid Steiner and Ms. Susi McConaghy.  Each of them brings an incredible set of skills and experience to our board.  We are grateful that both Ingrid and Susi have stepped up at this important time in our organization’s history as we prepare for growth and for the launching of a new public awareness campaign and an educational outreach program throughout the International Year of the Reef in 2008.

Ingrid Steiner grew up in the farmlands of New Jersey where she enjoyed working with animals and the natural environment. She has spent over 10 years in the printing industry working with accounts ranging from major corporations to local nonprofits. Currently she is a Sales Executive for The Castle Press and specializes in nonprofits. She is the LA/Orange County Chapter President for her undergraduate alumnae association. In her spare time, Ingrid enjoys swimming, needlepoint, painting, and being outdoors. Ingrid plans to continue her education with a Masters in Public Administration.  Welcome,
Ingrid!

Susi McConaghy attended USC, and is the proud mother of 2 children and 3 grandsons. Ms. McConaghy has enjoyed a successful development and fundraising career, raising funds for USC, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, the House Ear Institute, and Pepperdine Center for the Arts. Susi has been credited with the creation of the Getty House, the official residence of the Mayor of Los Angeles. Now happily retired as the Director of Development from the USC Institute for Genetic Medicine, Susi loves to travel, scuba dive, golf and invest her time and talents in her chosen
