Register a Reef Check Team

To participate in Reef Check, you must complete and submit the registration form shown below. A confirmation will be sent to your email address. Additionally, Reef Check may contact you for additional information. Your registration form will be good through the end of the calendar year. If you are surveying multiple reefs, you do not need to register each of them separately.

Note that there is one basic requirement of Reef Check. Each team must have a designated, qualified marine scientist on board to train the team in survey methods, to
help with identifications, and to help with the data analysis.

Teams without a qualified marine scientist are welcome to carry out Reef Check surveys, however, we will not accept data from unregistered teams. Please let us know if you have a team but need help locating a scientist.

Please carefully check the teams list to determine if your desired site is already listed. To determine the exact location of another group's planned survey, you may need to contact us or that group's Team Leader.
